Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accessibility Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and ensuring that our digital products—websites, mobile applications, and documents—are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. This role involves conducting thorough accessibility audits, identifying compliance issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement necessary improvements.
Key Responsibilities

Accessibility Audits: Conduct comprehensive manual and automated accessibility testing on web and mobile platforms to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.0/2.1 and Section 508 standards.

Assistive Technology Testing: Utilize screen readers (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver), keyboard-only navigation, and other assistive tools to assess user experience.

Documentation: Prepare detailed accessibility audit reports, including identified issues, severity levels, and recommended remediation steps.

Collaboration: Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to provide insights and suggestions for improving accessibility.

Compliance Reporting: Assist in preparing Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) reports and ensure all documentation aligns with accessibility standards.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest accessibility guidelines, tools, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.
Required Skills

Standards Knowledge: Strong understanding of WCAG 2.0/2.1 guidelines and Section 508 compliance requirements.

Web Technologies: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to identify and troubleshoot accessibility issues.

Analytical Skills: Ability to assess user experiences and identify barriers to accessibility.

Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication to document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous in identifying and documenting accessibility issues.
Qualifications
Technical Proficiency: Experience with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, and familiarity with assistive technologies like JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, and Switch Control.
