Data Engineer
Location: New Delhi
Work Mode: WFO, 5 Days working, Alternate Saturday working, 9:30AM-06:30PM
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from core lending systems, LOS, LMS, CRM, and finance systems into AWS Redshift.
- Build and optimize data warehouse models (fact and dimension tables) for housing finance analytics.
- Develop data models supporting loan lifecycle data including applications, sanctions, disbursements, repayments, foreclosures, NPA, and write-offs.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries in MySQL and Redshift for performance and scalability.
- Implement incremental loads, CDC, batch processing, and reconciliation checks for financial data.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, especially for regulatory and MIS reporting.
- Optimize Redshift performance using distribution styles, sort keys, and query tuning.
- Support and create Tableau dashboards for business MIS, portfolio monitoring, collections, credit, and management reporting.
- Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Business teams to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs and data pipeline issues.
- Maintain detailed technical and functional documentation.
- Ensure adherence to data security, audit, and compliance standards relevant to NBFCs.
Technical Skills
- 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehouse roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with MySQL.
- Advanced SQL skills, experience in ETL processes and data pipeline development, AWS Redshift, experience in enabling Tableau-based reporting and dashboards, CDC tools (AWS DMS or similar).
- Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, IAM, Lambda, EC2.
- Experience with ETL orchestration tools (Glue, Airflow, Informatica, etc.).
- Exposure to Python or Shell scripting.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience working with large transactional and financial datasets.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and access controls.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional business teams.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
