Position: CAD Design Engineer – Mechanical

Experience: 3 to 8 Years

Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Role Overview

We are looking for a CAD Design Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in mechanical design and drafting.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing 2D drawings, 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies.

Develop detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings as per requirements.

Modify and update existing drawings based on design changes.

Prepare assembly drawings, part drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.

Ensure drawings comply with required engineering standards and specifications.

Apply GD&T, dimensions, tolerances, fits, and surface finish requirements.

Coordinate with manufacturing, production, and project teams for design-related requirements.

Review drawings and resolve design/manufacturing issues.

Maintain proper revision control and documentation of engineering drawings.

Required Skills

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

3–8 years of relevant experience in CAD/mechanical design.

Good hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD and any 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, NX, or Inventor.

Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of machining, fabrication, sheet metal, and mechanical components will be preferred.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Profile

Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, automotive, industrial equipment, or design environment.

Ability to work independently on design and drafting assignments.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
