Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage documentation for international shipments, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other compliance documents.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport companies to ensure timely movement of goods.
- Track shipments and update internal systems with current shipment statuses.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding shipping schedules, document requirements, and customs clearance.
- Ensure adherence to customs regulations, export-import policies, and foreign trade practices.
- Maintain records of all shipping documentation and ensure their proper filing and accessibility.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Letters of Credit (LCs), Bills for Collection, and advance payment terms.
- Work closely with finance and accounts teams to support payment processes, duty drawback, and GST refund documentation.
- Resolve discrepancies related to shipments or documentation quickly and efficiently.
- Stay updated with changes in export/import regulations and ensure the business complies with the latest rule
Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2β5 years of experience in import-export documentation.
- Solid understanding of INCOTERMS, HS codes, and customs clearance procedures.
- Proficient in using MS Office, ERP systems (SAP, Tally, etc.), and online customs portals (ICEGATE, DGFT, etc.).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in EXIM procedures or international trade.
- Experience with DGFT schemes like MEIS, SEIS, RoDTEP, etc.
Familiarity with port operations and international logistics networks.
