Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mobile Automation Engineer specializing in Android automation using Espresso. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in end-to-end testing processes, test management, and defect management, with hands-on experience in mobile automation tools and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Espresso for Android applications, ensuring high-quality releases through functional, regression, and performance testing.

• Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, create comprehensive test plans, and establish test cases that align with business requirements.

• Defect Management: Identify, report, and track defects using tools like JIRA, working closely with developers to resolve issues promptly.

• Framework Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of automation frameworks, potentially integrating tools like Appium for cross-platform testing.

• Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Gradle to ensure seamless testing processes.

• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years in mobile automation testing, with at least 4 years focused on Android platforms using Espresso.

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java or Kotlin for writing automation scripts.

• Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with Android automation tools, primarily Espresso; familiarity with Appium is a plus.

• Testing Types: In-depth knowledge of various testing types, including usability testing, compatibility testing, API testing, and exploratory testing.

• Test Management: Strong experience in test management processes, including test planning, strategy development, and defect management.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

• Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git for collaboration and code management.
