Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Python development, agile methodologies, cloud platforms, and CI/CD tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable business-critical applications in Python.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Translate and align functional requirements with technical concepts to ensure clarity and effective implementation.
2. Conduct estimation, solution design, and detailed technical design, including application deliverables such as code, tests, and documentation.
3. Provide solutions in accordance with enterprise technology principles, methods, standards, and practices.
4. Deliver business-critical applications in Python with scalable architecture design.
5. Develop applications using an event-driven microservices architecture.
6. Manage databases, addressing performance issues, particularly with SQL Server.
7. Contribute to the definition and maintenance of standards, methods, and tools, incorporating best practices from market implementations.
8. Manage complex integration scenarios and interfaces across the ETRM landscape.
9. Develop and maintain solution patterns and best practices for software development.
10. Design, develop, and maintain robust back-end systems in Python.
11. Leverage Azure, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, Cache techniques, and SQL databases for efficient application development.
12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analysts and business stakeholders, to deliver innovative and aligned solutions.
13. Optimize application performance and scalability using performance monitoring and tuning tools.
14. Implement security best practices in software development, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks and standards.
15. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning, staying updated with industry trends and technologies.

Technical Skills & Experience:

1. Extensive Python development experience (over 10 years).
2. Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and writing testable code.
3. Proven experience working in agile teams, demonstrating the application of agile principles with lean thinking.
4. Useful experience blending data engineering with core software engineering.
5. Desirable experience with other programming languages (C , .NET) and frameworks.
6. Familiarity with Github Actions.
7. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
8. Proficient in profiling and optimizing Python code.
9. Awareness of executable documentation concepts.
10. Experience in providing support for trading applications.
11. Experience with Databricks is a plus.
12. Proven experience with FastAPI and async processing.
