A Technical Architect is a senior IT professional responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the technical aspects of IT solutions to meet business requirements. They bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that systems, applications, and infrastructure are designed and implemented to support the organization’s objectives effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust software services to support OpenAI's applications and infrastructure
• Build scalable APIs and integrate cloud services to support diverse workloads
• Ensure service infrastructure is reliable, secure, and capable of handling high-performance demands
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and research teams to deliver efficient service-oriented solutions
• Continuously improve system architecture, automation, and service monitoring

Required Skills:

• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of various programming languages, software development methodologies, and architecture patterns.
• System Design: Proficiency in designing complex, scalable, and modular systems.
• Cloud and Infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
